I’ve had Legg Calve Perthes Disease since I was nine years old. LCPD is a disease that causes your hip bone to die and then grow back misshapen and deformed. As the disease progressed, my condition became painful and crated obstacles for me in my everyday life.
Since becoming a patient of Dr. Clohisy’s, my condition improved greatly. He was able to explain a very complicated surgery to me, someone with no medical knowledge. While it was overwhelming at first, he was able to keep me relaxed and confident through the entire process.
While in the hospital, Dr. Clohisy visited me regularly, asking me how I was and kept me up to date on my progress. Once home from the hospital, we kept regular contact with the office. On monthly checkups, he would ask me how I was feeling and offer words of advice and encouragement. His staff is full of extraordinary doctors and nurses who make my time with them fun and comforting. They are not only humorous and personable, but professional and informative.
I’m seventeen years old and thanks to Dr. Clohisy; I’m able to do all the things I love again: play soccer, run around with my siblings, and have the normal life of a teenager. I can’t thank Dr. Clohisy and his staff enough for everything they’ve done for me, from their moral support to their expertise during the surgery.
